A salmon and steel blue sunise has faded to pale lilac. The tide is high and the wind is rippling the water in the cove.

It's now 10 o'clock and the first snowflakes are falling just as the weathermen predicted. There is enough wind to cause the buoy bell on the porch to ring intermittently.

No snow or ice on the paper road that goes by the front door - hooray! But the snow is predicted again this weekend. Still it is so pleasant to walk up and down and not have to worry about slipping and sliding
The islands have disappeared behind a curtain of fog.
