This is what a perfect day at the end of May looks like: the birds are singing, the lilacs are blooming, the honeysuckle is blooming, the only surviving birdhouse is rented, there are a myriad of candles on the horse chestnut and the crabapple tree is just starting to lose its blossums. Alas, the magnolia has gone by. Nature is at her most benign and beautiful.

An unusual sunrise this morning, pale peach above with a smokey blue at the horizon. The peach morphed into a vanilla cream above the dense smokey blue.
